SIMS - Microsoft End of Support Dates

The following end of support dates for SIMS on certain Microsoft products have recently been highlighted at the Schools ICT SIMS User Groups which have been held around the county. To ensure that SIMS will continue to function correctly within your school, it is important that you make provision to have updated any software for which support will be ending by the dates specified. The key end of support dates to be aware of are:

| Office 2003 | Autumn 2012 | Spring Term 2013 (to Office 2007 or 2010) |
| Windows 2003 Server | Spring 2013* | Summer Holidays 2013 (to Windows Server 2008 [or Windows Server 2012 from Spring 2013 SIMS release]) |
| Windows XP SP3 | Summer 2013 | Autumn Term 2013 (to Windows 7 [or Windows 8 from Spring 2013 SIMS release]) |
* Update Jan 2013: Now extended 1 release to Summer 2013 - Same as Windows XP SP3
